I’ve been watching this thread the way my wife watches cooking shows… You’ve got this! Just a little more and you’re onto the frame. I’m looking forward to that! (y)

First step to reattaching the bed is to get it square, and the rear corners parallel with the dash. I installed the 2 extension side pieces over the wheel well.
Next, to the bed. I cut a 3" strip of 16 GA and bent up a little return on each end.
I won't have the corrugated ribs all the way to the tailgate, but it will be under the bed mat, so it doesn't count. I had to go slow, blow off with air to cool, and move around a lot. It's coming together.
Now the wheel wells. These are really thin, so a lot of care in the fitment. Very low voltage, and a pretty fast wire speed workd well. And I kept my copper backing plate behind the weld, that helped a lot.
After about 4 hours, it's back together as one, and I can see the plan coming together. I am very close to turning the tub back on its side to finish weld the under side.

Come on Tim, give us the money shot, (side shot), so we can see the over all look.

Ok, I'll get my new BFG's rolled in there for the real effect.

I took advantage of a tax day, no sales tax sale at 4 Wheel Parts to get my new tires. Coupled with a small sale at BFG, it was the best deal I could find after watching for a little while. I don't think tire prices are going to get better, so no time like the present. New BFG KM3's!

The look of the slightly stretched tub is exactly what I am after. I know, not great photo, but you get the idea. The blue tape at the rear is the likely cut to move the axle back, to get 94" WB.
I rolled the tire in there to see how it looks. It's a litttle off center until I get the rear cut.

The stretch at the door looks really good, unless you really know JEEPs you would not know it’s been stretched. I like the wheel well also but more noticeable that it’s not original. You are making good progress.

You won't know the difference once it's a foot higher and across the lane from a stocker.

It's all relative. Sometimes my 37's are the smallest tire on the run.

I'm super impressed with the look of the stretch! A casual look without being intimately familiar with flat fender jeeps makes it look like it's stock. Well done!

I'd like someone to figure out how to make 37's look as good as that does on a cj5. Even 35's look weird.

If asked, I would have said my favorite Jeep was between Rango and Fireball's 'old red' that he just sold, but Woodstock might be taking the crown away!

It belongs to Timsresort, it was his Dads and Tim built it for his son Nick, who pilots it flawlessly.
