It's been a long time since I posted anything about the LJ so I thought this might be a good project to write up. I have wanted to add hydro assist to the steering for awhile but with the Curry Currectlync tierod and drag link I couldn't see an easy way to line the ram up or even a good bracket to locate the ram mount on the axle end. I ran across the Teraflex high steer setup and it looks like a good way to eliminate the odd angles you get with the Curry steering parts. I will have to see if I have any pics of the Curry setup for reference but I had the front axle torn down before I thought to take a pic of the existing parts. So, here goes.

I am waiting for Fedex to deliver my new trackbar bracket and trackbar, Here's my mock up for the tierod and drag link. Not sure I have enough separation at the driver side so I may have to mount the tierod to the bottom of the steering arms. With this kit you can go either way.

The Teraflex kit comes with the drag link, tierod, offset tierod ends, a new passenger side steering knuckle and tre's for the draglink. I was hoping to be able to use my Rubicon Express trackbar but it wouldn't work so I ordered the Teraflex trackbar and brackets. I now have all the parts and am test fitting everything before I weld the brackets on.

Enjoy that LJ! (once you get it back together)

This was the hydro assist setup on my old 2005 LJ with 1-tons and hi-steer arms. It drove like a stock vehicle on 37s. My buddy had a shop previously, and designed this set-up for me. I can't take credit for the design, but it worked great.

That's a sweet looking setup. I used the Redneck Ram hydro on my 66 CJ after breaking a pitman arm on a trail. I worry about the strength of the stock steering box with lockers. Loosing steering is a real buzz kill when you are out in the boonies.
