At least it was in front of my house so pushing it home wasn't too bad. Who ever owned it before me duct taped the wire and put it in the loom which makes me think this happened before. Time for a total rewire. 20220914_154917.jpg 20220914_154909.jpg

Ayuh,..... That, seems to be the most excitin' part of buyin' an ole Jeep,.....

My most common question is,.... WTF was he thinkin',..??..??

My current project is strippin' out all the wires that go nowhere, other than into a plastic loom, 'n rewirin' the dash,.....
Got the new gauges in, 'n hooked up,.... removed the fusebox, from on Top of the brake peddle assembly, 'n gonna mount it where it can be seen, 'n able to change the fuses,.....

It might be because there looks like there is a lot of corrosion on the wire reducing the current carrying capacity of that wire. As the copper turns into cuprous oxide, it will not conduct electricity anymore.
So if the current draw remains the same, then it will start to over heat. Same as using too small of gauge wire.

Cant tell is that is the fusible link or not.
