I posted some pictures of this Jeep a neighbor had a month or so ago. I’ve been talking to him about it and recently he said to just come take it for free - Well in trade for some odd welding jobs he has.

…So it needs a lot of work. All new brake system to start. That’s if I can get to start!

Tonight my friend Jeff and I took a couple wheels and a tow bar over and drug it about 4miles home. The wheels were locked up for only the first 100yrds. The steering is still locked up. Surprisingly easy so far.

I’ve got a little job to finish on my ‘66 then this goes into the garage. Wish me luck!!

Seems this Jeep sat for about the past 20 years!

Bad news is, 3 Jeeps, now I’m a collector. Couple more pics from earlier thread.

    Brakes might need work

Frame looks straight and rust loos ok for the age.

might be original paint. Anyone know the color?

You know I’ll eventually have to. What I want is your spare Dana 30 front.

Biloxi is a short trip from your place. Grab the D44 while you're at it. EEBrakes and all still attached to it. If you need an sm465 I have one of those here too.

I’m going to try to keep the modifications/cost down then give it to my Step Son. Keep it from the scrapper for a few more years.

Free horses are costly as well!

    Ask me how I know… ☹️

My ‘72 CJ5 cost too much but the purchase price will be ‘noise’ when compared to the final rebuild figure.

I've never had one but I hear an ex-wife can be more expensive.

Finally got the shackle bushings on the’66 and out of the garage. After a couple hours cleaning up and some odd jobs it’s Time to push the Free Jeep in.

Looks like it’s been 20 years since it’s been on the road

How about the 2” of shims under the crossmember? Is this typical for a’67?

Found the frame mounted MC is indeed a duel reservoir in ‘67. Clutch linkage is updated with a AA chain linkage. I sprayed a half can of PB Blaster around engine compartment and brake MC then called it a night.
