My 64 had a small vacuum line right under the carb going to the heater control switch, on one of my motors the PCV hooks up to the same port and goes to the valve cover.

Here’s a pic of the vacuum port on my ‘70 Cj5 dauntless that was connected to the heater (circled). I have mine capped off at the moment. It is located behind the carb on the intake manifold This is a pic taken of the back of the carb from the drivers side. Hope that helps.

Hello, I was able to get pics today :) This is from my v6 Dauntless. Pics are taken facing the front of the Jeep.
First pic is the smaller diameter line that feeds the vacuum controls, passenger side manifold.
Second pic is the larger line that feeds the top mount wipers, drivers side manifold.

That's how Buick did 'Em.......That's the main intake manifold port . PCV is typically hooked to that, then the early wipers & Heater controls.

I've always wondered why the passenger side intake manifold port was used for the vacuum line to the heater controls on my 1967 V6, rather than the one on the driver's side (which is plugged). A vacuum line running from the driver's side port would have been closer to the hole in the firewall where that vacuum line passes through.

But I never thought about the fact that the vacuum wiper line would have logically been connected to the driver's side port. It makes complete sense, as that wiper vacuum line was fed through the firewall and dash, then up the driver's side of the windshield frame.

My '67, however, has the single-speed electric wipers that first became available as an option during that model year - and as a result, there isn't anything connected to the driver's side vacuum port on my engine.

    Mystery solved - thanks, Roy!
