That is a cool idea I will remember, but I didn't have a compressor.

Problems are relative to the preparedness of the operator.

I literally did this 3 weeks ago!
We drug an old 78 GMC Vandura out to load on a trailer. Fuel pump was dead so I used a nitrogen bottle to pressurize the system and push fuel to the carb.

I tested this once in my 3B when the alternator bracket broke off 60 miles from home. The Pro-Flo 2 went the 60 miles home without any hiccups and the battery voltage was about 10V when I got there. So yes, EFI (or at least that system) can function at less than 12 V. I think the Walbro 392 pump just slows down but at the normal 14V, probably half (or more) of the output is in the return line anyway.

I'm one that absolutely does not miss points. I look at my 97 GMC 2500 and it's 200k miles. I've changed the spark plugs, cap, and rotor once. I ran the Pro-Flo 2 on the 3B for more than a decade with no problems whatsoever. The only reason it's not on the new engine is I wanted to try something that the self learning was more than just my education. I may miss some of the hands-on aspects of Pro-Flo 2. It was sort of neat being able to address any aspect of the fuel/timing with just a few keystrokes-on the trail or highway-without stopping.

I've thought about that but the potential aspect of a rather large fireball didn't seem like it would be worth it. I carry an extra electric pump. If one was using a CO2 tank for tires-perfect.

I also carry a mechanical pump, an electric, a jerry can dip tube for siphoning, and the last resort-the CO2 bottle.

On Farm Jeep Willy, I carry an extra coil, cap, rotor, plugs, fuel pump, u joint, a few quarts of oil and coolant, plus a small kit of tools. I have never really needed to dig into the parts for Willy but I have given away the coil, u joint and joint ubolts. They have been replaced now. I use the tools regularly it seems, for whatever I am near.
