‘72 Water Temp Gauge Alternative

My original gauge cluster is beyond saving. Not reading great things about the $100+ Aftermarket ones from Omix, etc. either. I think I found an economy 2” fuel gauge that will work (Equus 7361) with the fuel sender based on the ohms. Are there any cheap 2” temp gauges that will wire right in to the original temp sender and work correctly as well? I’d like to just hang these and a tach below the dash. Tight budget.

 

The calibration data in ohms for water temperature is in the TSM too. Find a gauge that matches that sender. Lacking that, unlike the fuel gauge, you can easily change the temperature sender to whatever the gauge seller offers or recommends. I could look it up, but you could just as well.
