I had to test it out and see if it fit on my 5687... haha.
New stuff going out: I forgot to add the windshield hold-down strap. After a couple final measurements and a test fit, they will be good-to-go.
that would be really nice to have.
The first test strap in the picture is on its way to the new owner. Once I get a thumbs-up on the length, I'd be happy to make one for you. They won't be very expensive at all, $10 shipped for ECJ5 people.
So Ben did the cover for my Warn 8572. Fits like a glove. Also got the chain covers and windshield strap. Beautiful work!
Put my cold weather grille cover on Snowshoe!
Thanks to our ECJ5 test pilot, we have confirmation that the windshield straps are good-to-go. Here they are, graciously modeled by our own Mr. Johnson.
If anyone is interested in these, they are $10 shipped for the ECJ5 crowd.
OLIVE DRAB, canvas half cab?
.........still pops up as an error when I try to view the pictures.
can you PM me a pic of the windshield strap?
That one would be tough without having your Jeep here in front of me. There are so many variations of roll bars, windshield angles, etc that it would be tough for me to guarantee the fit. What I could do, however, would be an OD canvas bikini top and a second piece to fill the inside of your roll bar. The combination of those two would be very close to a half-cab, but without doors.
pm me a phone number that allow photos from my phone
Just got done making some repairs to a canvas top and applied a fresh coat of wax to it... turned out great. Pic was half way through, wax on the left, as I got it on the right.
I wanted to take a second to thank all the ECJ5 folks that have sent me some fun projects to work on. I am going to have to take a break from producing anything as we are moving across the country. The ebay listings will be coming down as well. I'll update when we are set up and we can continue making cool Jeep stuff.
Good luck with your move! I'm hoping to be far enough along on my project to order some stuff from you when you're ready to start up again
Took longer than I thought, but we're settled and things will be rolling again soon. I'll update the links as soon as they are live, but feel free to send me a msg if you are looking to have something made.
Can I ask..... where did you move to ?
Wife & I lived in central Colorado & then moved to Lake Ontario in NYS.
We're in the Albany area.
~ 200 miles to our East ? Good for you, neighbor.
Just an update for anyone looking at grille covers: the magnetic grille covers DO NOT work on aftermarket chrome grilles. The metal they use must have a different quality/composition than the original and the magnets don't stick very well.
Are you back in business?
