Hi all, got my dash panel off and was looking things over. I noticed this open duct that appears to be the heat output. Looks like something is missing to down turn the heat to the floor, maybe some duct work and a possible diffuser or something. Anyone know what is missing here?

    Thanks. heater.JPG

By the way... the pic above was shot while squatting center-jeep, facing the front.

Missing the floor deflector and you can cap the extra defroster hole.

The extra hole comes capped from the factory.

I believe that spray paint can lids fit well to help out your placebo heater.

These '72-on heaters aren't placebos. They work ok. Not as good as the Mojave/Summit heaters apparently, but much better than the earlier ones.

Went ahead and ordered a new fresh air box. Mine was pretty mangled up where it mounts up to the cowl vent. Not much there I could repair and it wasn't even screwed to the cowl. The plastic could be easily pulled or broken off in chunks... like it had just totally degraded to nothing over time.
