Any soft top intended for '55-'75 will work assuming you have a windshield frame from that vintage. Where can she get a soft top with bows, doors, and associated hardware for $400? Does it come with all necessary parts?
Canvas is nice but has more maintenance in my experience and has an odor that some find objectionable. It is cool though.

That I would have to ask the wife where she found it for 400.00. Personally, I don't think so.

She has the original '65's windshield so I can order a top for a '75 then right ?

    Thanks,
    Jim

Yup. Just make sure it's for a '55-'75 as '76 was the change. I've found some vendors don't seem to be aware or care about the accuracy of their listings.

Military canvas can be used too, with the right hardware.

Alyssa is thinking of selling her '65-she wants a Cj7.

I might just buy it off her since I put in some $ anyway.

    We will see.

Installed an electric fuel pump. If the Jeep sits for a week or more it won't start even w/the manual choke.

The electric pump primes the factory pump and then she starts fine.

Found a little leak on the water pump gasket.

I removed the 7lb cap and this is all I could find around town. Their book called for it. Hum

Bolts on the H20 pump were a little loose. Tightened them up, so far so good. :)

A drop or two of engine oil every long while should do it. Every 1000 miles, and the same for for the internal wick and the advance pivots according to the FSM.

We all do that religiously, right?

Just went through 11 pages of clutch info and I can't find the hook up for a hyd to cable setup. I'll have to get under it and see how the cable attaches etc.

Question: here shown is the E-brake cable end.

Seems I'm missing something on the drum portion, is that correct?

If so does anyone have an extra laying around or should I just buy one from the vendor?

    Thanks,
    Jim

You are missing the lever and from the pic looks like the rear output housing is broken where the pivot stud should be. Common on 18 transfer cases. Usually broken when people aren't careful during removal or installation.

I have a two 18's, Not sure I have a lever or not on them-I'll look.

Not sure I see a broken part but then again I'm a D-300 kind of guy.

    Thanks for the help,
    Jim

You are looking for Item 21. I will see if I can get a pic from under my Jeep later this morning.
