I’m following the “while you’re in there” approach and replacing my timing chain and gears. I thought they were original to the motor and may very well be. Then I noticed the aftermarket camshaft gear that came with my set is way heavier than what was originally in there, like maybe the old one that was in there is aluminum or lighter cast material or something. Will I be ok with the heavier replacement? Not looking for high performance, just a decent runner. Packaging of course said it was OEM replacement.

NP. The original would be plastic (nylon) on an aluminum hub. All the aftermarket replacements will be iron. The originals are quieter than the iron gears, but they fail by shedding plastic teeth. You want an iron gear.
