    SHE RUNS AND DRIVES.

Steerings a lot tighter. Brakes checked and bled. New tires mounted. Got windows sliding and functional.
Looking forward to getting painted this winter.

going to start ordering up parts like wiring kits and odds and ends so when it comes back from paint will be all good to go. Getting seats re done this winter also.

I love those Coker tires but, sweet Lion of Zion, they're pricey! For H78-15, they are almost $175 each. That is a whole mess of Filet-O-Fish sandwiches you're talking about there.

    :cry::cry:

Where did you find a Tux bumper, let alone new?

I wish I could find one. I’m putting a factory basic cj5 bumper on it. To clean it up. And have correct body mounts. I’m putting it on tomorrow so I’ll show you then.

I think I’m going to make a new thread just on the chrome bumpers. Ima measure out the front one and get some details together so as a community we can find something close

The Willys Wagons have the correct profile for the Tux bumper, but need to be narrowed 7"-8", and the mounting holes are wrong. There is also a notch for the optional over riders. There are new aftermarket replacements being made for the Wagons.
The Jeepster Commandos front bumper is the correct size and shape, but has upper and lower mounting holes not used on a Tux. The Commando rear bumper is nearly the same as the Wagon front bumper. Then there is the cost of chroming a painted bumper. Commandos can have either painted or chrome bumpers, just like Willys Wagons.

If you don’t mind the extra mounting holes, you will be able to find a Jeepster Commando bumper much easier than the original Tux bumper. What I used for years.
Check eBay everyday, they do come up

Started off by removing the old bumper
    3D61A5BA-6433-4097-BAB6-7EE0F1B733FD.jpeg 58B9E06B-2B46-491F-927E-06573C852A45.jpeg
Was able to cut down the plate to tie the cross member to the bumper. Also welded on body brackets so the rear end is finally bolted to the frame hahaha.
    8FEA5396-1A39-4787-A01B-C5D2792A319B.jpeg
Also was tired of getting gassed out, so threw on a 90’ bend on the exhaust to dump it out behind the rear tire
    8C045DE0-EF5B-4336-8536-3ECEFADBE363.jpeg
after needed to badly replace the body mounts, as they were able to move by hand with a inch of play. We moved the body back 1/2 inch, because the body shifted forward. And went with big washers to keep this set from pulling threw the floor.
    BD5A3D8D-A71B-42A4-8599-4F237FD9E54E.jpeg
taken off the heavily rusted, dented and bondo fenders
    15683BDB-279E-4316-8D14-13A2033CAE87.jpeg
and replaced them with new steel.
    CB201263-3057-4AE8-B013-1C039E05A9F3.jpeg
lastly while I wait to get a new door skin to be made, I sprayed in the grand door canyon with some rattle can black.

I like the shoebox Ford coupe in the next bay. My Dad still has his 1950 Custom Deluxe Fordor first car. We restored it back in the early 80s.

Ordered plates, in ‘G67’. And if I get pulled over with plates saying 967 Ima just say no officer. The 9 is just a lower case G. Then probably get a fix it ticket.

Thats a frame rear crossmember you replaced, not a "bumper". I was questioning where you would buy a new bumper for a Tux.
