How would you install that?
I've the same issue on my 69, only I get draw down to 6.5v at the starter. Jumps with no issue, no action with the ignition. Even new ignition...
Seeing this thread for the first time and I'm wondering if it would solve my issue with Delco starters on my 69 dauntless. I do have a draw down...

So with not being able to break it loose with bumping the starter while in gear, whats the fix aside from tearing it apart?
Would that keep it from shifting into forward gears with the engine running and cause the clutch to act as if not functioning when trying to start...

I can shift into any gear I want as long as the engine isn't running. It will not start in gear, but does lurch when i bump the starter...
No joy. Will crank and turn over in neutral, but once you shut it off and put it in gear it won't turn over

Hey walt! Was hoping you would have made it down to the jeep event last weekend! Starter is delco, brand new, and was bench tested as good....
So you added a Ford solenoid in between the ignition switch and starter solenoid?
I would assume you mean on the switch side of the wire, yes?
With a remote start switch, engine will turn over. Still trying to source pictures of the wiring harness at the ignition switch
