After some discussion with the people at 4wd.com, apparently you're supposed to "calibrate" the sending unit by bending the arm until it reads...

well now im, confused........my thought is if i run a quart over according to the stick, (5 qts), then im gonna blow out my seals pretty quickly....
mine has always been on the full mark when i put 4 quarts in so i never thought otherwise:?

i know in glamis they require the whips to be a certain height for safety reasons.....so others can see you over the dunes
i think they need to be a certain height over the jeep
the problem is the whip should be lit at night
