Picked up some "J-cradles" today and mounted them up to the trailer. Lifting the kayaks onto the trailer is much better than lifting them on top...

Yes, the bars actually slip through the Low Rider mounts. As you tighten the mounts down, it puts pressure on the bars to hold them in place....

I didn't do anything with mine, but that's mainly because mine are covering up body damage, so there was no real way to seal it anyway.
The ammo can works really well for tarp storage and some tools. I also keep one of those folding lug nut wrenches in there too.
