On My 1974 cj5 they were all the same.

They were made in 3 wire and 6 wire connection.
The six wire was preferred .

I have used heim joints for all kinds of linkages and they work great . They work best when used to push rather than pull.

The Bearing in the picture looks like A thin shell Torrington needle bearing.

Do You have residual valves in Your Master cylinder or in the brake lines.
Drum brake require 10 psi residual valves .
I have A 1974 jeep cj5 with 2-1/2" lift.
I had to have Tom Woods Build A CV Drive Shaft .
And Tilt The Pinion Up , reweld the spring perches ....
All Jeeps are A money PIT !
