If it's tapered axle, you'll need a puller; drum is swaged to the hub.
This is intermediate section; do you have a flanged axle...
Repair lid leak, start it and run it.

I think I would make/fabricate brackets that bolt thru the bumper on either side of the frame rails (or offset), that the tow bar can then attach...
