The 5" x 16" wheels typically have the small hole in them.
I'm guessing here but believe that hole was normally used to identify the standard disk...
This pic shows a 5x 16" wheel with the later post 1955 creased disk.
If its a #50823 the number could be stamped on the outside of rim near the valve stem hole.

The speedometer driven gear is matched to a certain series of available drive gears.
You'll need to pull the speedometer driven gear out.
D30 breaks are between 3.54 (III) and 3.73 (IV).
D44 breaks are between 3.73 (III) and 3.92 (IV).
D30 Powr Lok was sold.
