So, I answered a CL ad a few weeks ago regarding Willys parts. I went to see the guy and he has several CJ2's, CJ3B's, a CJ5 and a M38A1 and misc other jeeps in various states of disrepair in his fields and garages. I was primarily interested in getting a Warn OD (which he didn't have), a dual output twin stick PTO (I already have a single stick dual output hooked to my Koenig winch) and various other parts to add to my CJ5 when I finally get around to finishing it. The guy that ran the ad has bought a CJ3B from a farmer near his house, and he wants me to help him drag it out of some field at the top of a mountain. He says that it has a PTO (he thinks it's a twin stick), an intact PTO shaft to the rear of the bumper, the additional rear bumper mounted PTO, and a Novi governor with the linkages. I can get the works for an embarassingly low price plus my labor helping him drag the Jeep home. My question is since this is on a CJ3B, is it something that will fit onto my CJ5 without requiring too many modifcations? I assume that the governor is on an L Head, and I have an F Head. If the PTO is a single output I am already going to give that to another member from this site that lives near me. If this set up can't be easily adapted to the CJ5, any idea what these parts might be worth?:?

If it's a 3B, it'll have an F head (assuming it's stock). Other than that I have no idea...

Thanks, I guess I'll find out tomorrow when I go help recover it.

same Tcase, I can see no reason the PTO drive will not fit, the only problem could be the shaft length, but then the CJ5 and 3b frames are so close I would say go for it.

Yes it will fit the 5. The wheel base change concerns the front.
