My brake light set up that USE to work is as follows: Painless wiring harness, in-line brake fluid pressure switch, to rear led brake lights. I have the rear wired up for turn signals with no turn signal switch attached, and the running lights are working. My brake lights aren't coming on though. I've been staring at wiring diagrams until I'm cross eyed now. Is there a good troubleshooting first step to take? I can't even think of where to even start to narrow down the issue.

Get your digital volt meter in hand. Lay on your back under the drivers side looking up between the frame rail and the tranny/tc. The brake master cylinder is there. Two wires go to the end of it. Pressure switch. One will have power to it, the other will either run off to the tail lights or back under the dash to the place where they hook up to the turn signals. and probably needs the turn signal switch to work. And maybe the key in either the run or accessory position. My brake lights only work in those two positions.

Of coarse that is with the original wiring harness. And the original (OEM replacement three years ago) master cylinder. Going back and re-reading yours you have redone all that.

Could still be that it needs the turn signal switch, with power from either access or run on the ignition switch.

It was the pressure switch. I have voltage going to it, but nothing leaving. Do these things go bad very often? Maybe an air bubble? I have it on my rear brake line, but my line is portioned to hardly brake with the disc brakes. Is there a switch I can put on the pedal that might make life easier? I have the willwood swinging pedals. I can easily wire a switch, brake plumbing just sounds like a lot of work right now.

You said it worked before? Unscrew the stop switch and bleed out any possible air and try again. Won't need to remove switch, just have someone apply slight break pressure while you loosen the switch - bleed air - and tighten back -all while applying a little pedal down pressure.

It worked before with the proportioning valve set at its current setting? If you have it set very lightly for the rear, it may not be getting enough pressure to close it. Maybe mark the position of the valve so you can reset it, then crank it to full pressure on the rears and see if it then works. If it does, I would just make a bracket and use a regular mechanical activated switch (what I did with mine which is also set relatively light for the rear axle)

I tried bleeding the pressure switch and that didn't work. I just picked up a philmore mini snap action switch (30-2040) at the electronics store. I'm going to give that a shot later today. I will post pics when done.

Here is the solution I came up with after a few Coors. It works good, I just don't know how long it is going to last. I couldn't find any switches on Wilwood's site for these pedals, a manufactured solution would have been ideal. I ended up with a fender washer cut with some holes drilled for the bracket and bent the metal tab to activate the switch every time. I'm interested in pictures from other peoples similar set ups for any better ideas as well. This is my first time uploading photos, we will see how it goes...
