    The top looks good, Jim.

By the way, have you experienced any troubles with your rear hubs? I broke two hubs on my rear full-float conversion before finally going to drive flanges. I think my problem was due to the detroit locker shock-loading the hubs from time to time as it engaged.

yea I really have to keep a close eye on the studs holding the hub on, they loosen up despite my best efforts.....probably should just install the drive flanges I have

I grenaded several locking hubs with mine, eventually taking out the Lock Right too. I now use drive flanges.

The jeep looks great. Just so you know a 2004-2006 wrangler unlimited top fits perfectly as well. The one I have is made by smittybilt that I got for 15 bucks at a truck show. The joy of owning a CJ6 is trying to make all of the cool stuff made for the rest of the jeeping community work for us.

yea I remember reading that once (you've got a great looking 6)....never could find one cheap enough however

I added some 100w Halogens today, kinda copied Patricks lights
I welded up some angle iron to make the brackets
    [IMG]
I used the existing bolts and holes for the upper soft top door hinge to mount them to the windshield
    [IMG]
    here they are mounted up

I'll most likely use a smaller light in the future but I've had these so they'll work for now

so I'm down to the last two projects on the 6......carpet and on board air
Started on the carpet this week. Stripped out the temp oriental rug I had in there then removed everything in the tub. I acquired a form fit rubber mat that covers the entire front from sdcj6 (Ray).....the plan is to lay down heat/sound barrier, lay the rubber mat in place then glue carpet to that. This will allow to remove if necessary (not that it ever gets wet here in so-cal :)) and should really help the inside temps/acoustics
here's a shot of the insulation in place
    [IMG]
I've already prepped the mat so it'll go in next week....still have to go find some dark brown carpet

We just got back from cruising the Jeep around town, and my floorboards still get mighty hot. Might have to follow Jim's lead here..

got it from a company on ebay........EZ Cool Automotive

it's foil faced on both sides sandwiching insulation.....a 4'x10' sheet was about $35 shipped to my door
    Jim

heat was the deciding factor on going this route....tootsies really got hot on the way to/from the Mojave road trip
