I don't know anyone but I remember those things took up some serious space.

 

Finally got back to work on the tub this weekend... floor brace is repaired and installed.

second pic, Just curious if anyone knows what these 5 threaded holes are for? they would be on the floor just behind the passenger seat

 

looking good. i was wondering what the part number on the flanger/hole punch was? i will have to replace the pans on my 3b sooner or later and that sounds like it worked geat. how thick of metal would it bend/ punch? thanx

 

not sure of the part number, it is available through Harbor Freight or Northern Hydraulics. it is good for up to 16 ga, it punches through 18 ga like it wasn't there. normally have the compressor on 80-90 PSI when using it.

 

I think the 4 hole in a square are for the seat hold down latch, mine has for bolts that hold to the floor.

I had forgotten about that. It was not a big deal, just as long as you didn't hit the brakes hard I was fine.

 

HBD to ME! a bit late but the boxes should contain a new rear floor and wheel houses directly from Classic Enterprises

and now the latest in a string of small setbacks...

as I have mentioned previously, I have no garage and the tub sleeps under the stars. that means that each and every bare metal spot must be sprayed almost imediately to keep the Virginia Weather Termites from starting new holes in the metal...

my plan: I found this really cool color of rustoleum (Army Green) kind of a light olive color. I even remember when I bought the first few cans that it is unusual for that color to be on the shelf, wouldn't expect too much demand for it... but I pressed on and now half of the underside of the tub is painted that color...

(yeah I know rustoleum is not gonna last as long as a $5K paint job)

well, now Lowes and Home Depot have stopped selling it and I cannot find it anywhere

time for a new plan... any idears?

 

I've been considering tractor paint for mine, but I'm not positive yet...

 

I looked at tractor paint but couldn't find a color I liked. crisis is over though, turns out that Krylon "hasta green" is very close. now if I can get the tub together and ready for body work before they stop making it too

 

been stealing a few vacation days to finish up the tub while the days are soo long, Hot and Humid
