I've made the saggy swap on my 71 with the 225, but now I'm getting really tired of my headers and want to go back to standard exhaust manifolds and I'm searching for a drivers side manifold. Does the picture of the manifold below look like it would work? It looks somewhat different than some of the pictures I've found, but then again it seems like I've yet to see 2 of the same type of 231 manifolds used on the 225. The guy selling it syas it came off a 75 or newer buick engine. Not real specific. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.....

Great. Do you have a power or manual saginaw? Any clearance issues with your steering shaft?

'What is more important, is what does the port side look like, I don't know what year they changed the port shape, but 225 and early 231 ports have a dog leg shape to them. Do you have a picture of the back side of that manifold? That rear dump manifold should work with Saginaw steering if the port shape is correct for a 225 V6.

I don't have a picture of the port side, but I'll see if they can get one. It looks correct from the front (bolt holes look like they are in

Bruno - I've got headers on it now, but I've still got a stock set of manifolds on a shelf. I will be using the passenger side manifold. When it's all over, I'll probably still have the stock driver's side left over if your still interested.

the buick farm is showing he still has 1 left and 1 right exhaust manifold in stock. there listed under 78 skylark, and he says fits 76-78 v-6. there 65.00 each and should be n.o.s gm parts.

Thanks kaiser krawler. This one will only be about $35 bucks shipped, so that seems like the better deal right now if it will work.

I sent a message to the guys at the Buick Farm earlier, but haven't gotten a response. Are they usually pretty slow to online requests?

the few times i emailed them they got back to me in less than 24 hours. all there parts are new, they may have been setting on the shelf for a while, but everything i've gotten from them has been in good shape, and was shipped quickly.

Well crap. Got a picture of the port side on this one, and it's different (square). Is this manifold different enought that it won't bolt up at all, or is it just the port mismatch that causes the issue? If it did bolt up, would there be any leaks? I don't really see the issue with the smaller dog-legged outlet dumping into the larger square manifold port, but I don't really want to spend the money without knowing for sure. I guess the search is still on.......

It will bolt up fine and if both surfaces are flat it wont leak. I say that because my manifold got dropped sometime in it's life and has a notch across one of the ports and therefore leaked a little out the notch and then also burned up the gasket at that point. My engine is a '72 225.
