bantam wheels

There is a bantam trailer at my local junk yard. I think its too rusty and beat up to be worth geting the whole thing but there are some good parts on it. All i got off of it sofar is the bantam tag. But i was thinking of getting the wheels they are the kind with the big rivets i guess thyre the military type. Are they worth much if i were to sell them? Or i could use them on my trailer. Also i was going to grab the safety chains. It had a ball style receiver. The lights were trash and it had no tailgate Any other parts worth trying for?

 

Those wheels are worth a substantial amount if they look like the wheel on the right.

Does it have a lunette? Are you sure it isn't military (but all cut up IE tailgate was cut in)? I would drag the whole thing out if it is cheap enough.

 

I agree that you should salvage all the parts you can. They will be worth more than what you pay for the trailer.

 

I got the wheels and hubs, the safety chains, the rear reflectors and the bantam tag. All for 30$. I was thinking about the axle but didnt grab it. I could have gotten the whole thing for about 100$ but it really was very rusted. The frame probrobly could be salvaged but the sheetmetal was junk. I got the tires off the rims and theyre very rusted inside. One of them is rusted out around the valve stem. Im going to clean them up a bit with the wire wheel hopefully thyre not too aufull bad.
