    Turrible idea. :p

I think it depends on the color of the Jeep. With blue I might be inclined to go with white myself. But black does look classy.

Cut to 15" circles out of cardboard. Paint one side black. Tape to your wheels on one side the jeep. Stand well back, squint your eyes, you will decide quickly.

i have always been a fan of black wheels. had black wheels on a few different vehicles, will have them on future vehicles. i think they look great on pretty much any color vehicle. probably going to paint my jeep wheels black soon, or get some that are black.
i say do it! and send pics.

I am with Sparky, I think white or cream looks good on a blue rig if they are standard stock steel wheels.

If I was running a spoke type, D window or soft 8 wheel I would be biased toward black.

I suspect it would look quite different with modern black wheels. Not white though, kind of a creme...

I think black is the way to go with wagon wheels. If I Had the old school original steel I would leave them white-cream. Those skinny wheels are cool!

Black. Hides brake dust better and the unavoidable rust.......plus I think they look better!

If I had wagon wheels I'd probably try something different and find a battleship gray. Stock wheels = white.

To me black wheels just always look dirty - and they don't jump out at me visually the way I like as the wheels and tires become all one mass.

Yep, all the modern-ish Jeep OEM wheels I've seen have been cream on the front and primer gray on the back. A bright TiO2 white looks different.

Maybe consider a muted silver like Rustoleum Hammered Silver... looks good if you have a few other pieces painted to match...

Here's a comparison- the white wagon wheels make the jeep look dated- painting them black just looks more modern to me.

    Before:

    And after (yes much better):

Some colors are great with black... green, red, yellow. But blues just don't "pop" for me with black... I think blues are better with white or silver. Gives the blue more depth.

I love black wheels. In kind of a flat finish would be perfect in my eyes. I'm half tempted to take my current wheels and have them powdercoated.

    I vote black,
