Took my jeep for its longest run the other day, about a 100 mile round trip, showed my parents the jeep I have been working on. I noticed the worn out old seats are not that comfortable. Does anyone make a seat that will bolt in using orginal hardware for a 70. most of the catalogs list seats from 76 to newer.

I know alot of people here talked about the seats from Corbeau seats, they look really nice. Check them out at www.corbeau.com. Have you looked into JCWhitney, 4wd.com, quadratec.com. I have also seen post's about certain late model car seats that could work as well.

Watch for clearance issues when changing seats. Check the thread about "leg room" recently. You may not like the difference in room to operate the pedals.

I recently installed a set of Corbeau Moabs. The dimensions were pretty close to the seats I removed (stock 72' CJ). The first trip I used them was on the Rubicon in Sept. They have side supports that really helped keep my back from getting scratched from the side to side motion.
