I bought a new lower radiator hose for a toyota pickup and hacked it up to install the lower radiator hose heater, Nice fit and no leaks:) .
In case your wondering it's a 120v heater that you cut into the lower radiator hose and on bitter cold nights you plug it in and it heats up the engine through the cooling system.
I'll plug it in tonight around 3 or 4 am When I'll be getting up for a bathroom run anyway:rofl: . I'll let u guys know how well it works tommorow morning.
    before you say..:uwop:
    Here they are

Good deal. I have one that quit working that I need to remove. I don't need it like I used to. New carb, HEI distributor, etc. and my cold-starting problems were solved.

it's not for cold starting it's for instant heat, no ice to scrape off windshield and with the engine warm the oil will be more fluid and less wear also saves fuel cause no choke is needed.
After a 3' snow fall a few years back I just installed one the day before and went out to go to work and all but the trunk was clear of ice and snow and the inside was warmer than the house:shock: The car fired up like I just shut it off 2 minutes ago from a long drive.
The main reason I installed it in the jeep is to keep the initial startup wear to a minimum, warm oil will flow through the engine faster than molases will. I also had a setup on my diplomat that in addition to the heater, I had a battery trickle charger and a neat little thing that killed the ignition circuit and cranked the engine for 2 seconds every 3 hours.
I know it was overkill but I bought the car at 100,000 miles and after 15 years with a light racin cam and a lead foot my compression test's come back the same as the day I bought it. and no smoke on startup or under heavy acceleration.
I like to keep the engine at running temp or as close as possible as long as possible and well lubricated. The Diplomat has not had an engine component failure in 8 years, mechanical or electrical.

Except for the three years I lived in South Carolina I have lived in the north all my life. Right now I am right off Lake Superior. Never owned a car with a block heater. After reading your post it almost sounds worth while. Might have to give it a try with my plow jeep if I ever get a heater working in it.

Have one. Jeep loves it. Plug that bad boy in an hour before a wintery adventure without a problem. Like Todd says gets my in cab heater up to a comfortable temp as soon as I jump in.

    Heated seats are next ladies...
