I wish mine was on so I could tell you about it.
It's been on backorder for over two months....
Folks seem to like it better than the Superlift kit for ride quality.
If you find any in stock let me know..

    Thanks Sparky

I did a search but it came up short, I probably spelled something wrong.

Is it safe to assume that the 50% part you like is the part that’s done?

Did you end up needing to buy any parts not included with the lift?

So far, no. I am having to enlarge the holes in the spring plates, as the ubolts are larger in diameter, and will have to buy shakles as there is no way to reuse the old c-style shackles. This is something I expected however.

    I have a '71 CJ5 with the 3" Black Diamond.
    Great kit overall.
    The only problem:
The front u-bolts they sent were WAY too big...both in diameter AND obviously for the wrong axle tube dia. (HUGE).

It installed without any real surprises, though.

Got mine from 4WD.com back when they had a free shipping deal.

Out of the last lift 3 kits I bought, none of them were 100%.

Worst by far was a 6” Super Lift System I bought for my 1989 Suburban, they sent the wrong rear springs the first time even thou they were marked 56” long springs they weren’t all Hardware was all wrong they insisted everything was correct.

After about 100 phone calls they finally agreed to replace the kit if they found it to be wrong and would refund the shipping cost.

I sent back the one they had sent me. They sent me a different kit, but never refunded my shipping.

What an awesome company I’m surprised there still in business. :?

Well my BD kit just arrived after months on backorder.
    One dumb question here..
I also bought new shackles to replace the old C type. Is there some kind of a new bushing I'll need where the shackles mount to the frame hangars? Mine are so old and crusty I can't tell what's in there. It almost appears that there's a peice of pipe welded between the tabs on the frame hangars, and I can't tell if there's a replaceable bushing inside or not....Haven't taken one apart yet. Kind of want to have all parts ready and do the whole thing at once.
    Thanks.

Here is a pic of the bushings that came with the BD kit for my '71 CJ5.

    They're 7/16" ID, 7/8" OD and 1.75" long.
    I would imagine that's what you'll need?

I had a Black Diamond kit on my flattie and found it to be stiffer than I expected. My buddy has one on his 5 and his is a little too soft. He could probably go with stiffer shocks. I sold mine (not because it was too stiff - just because). Have fun with the install.

Well, I've got a V8 up front and will be moving the fuel tank to the rear, so maybe I'll get lucky and end up with a good ride.
