cj7 springs on a early cj5

    This may be a stupid quesion but would a set of 2.5inch lift springs off an 83 cj7 fit an early cj5. I'm new to early cj5s and was wondering the diefference. Any info is appreciated. Thanks

    what can i expect to pay for parts not including springs for a project like this and will it make the ride quality that much better? Thanks

    i know from experiance if you want to change spring width on your front-end your going to need 1 spring perch that welds to your diff tube and your gona need to do some grinding and drilling on the diff side to get the wider spring to mount corectly but it is posible

    The CJ7 front springs are the same width as ECJ5 springs aren't they? Just longer eye to eye. The rear ones are wider. YJ springs are wider front and rear.

    No. Early CJ springs are 1 3/4" wide and '76 and up are 2" wide in front. Nickmil.
