Dash Question

    I was reading Sparky's comments in the buyer comment section and it gave me an idea I was told would not work. I want to put a late 70's early 80's steering column in my 1970 CJ-5 when I go to power steering. I was told the dash was to wide for the 70 cj. Is it? Will it bolt up?

    I have a mid 70's. The top bolts are ok, down the sides are off. same size overall. The steering column cutout is left of the original about 3-4 inches.
    I ended up not using it and ordered a postal column.

    Don't know what mods were done to make mine work since I have a glass tub. But it fits well.
