I plan to swap on the new steering wheel and horn button. I have cleaned the tube up well so I can fish the wire through the Ross box. I am sure a little grease won't hurt anything. I saw a pic somewhere of someone putting a few spiral wraps in the wire (like wrapping it around a pencil). I assume the thought is to keep from twisting and breaking the wire down too quickly. Is this a common practice? Anything else I should be doing? Anything once the wire exits the Ross tube? Thanks

Take a piece of stiff wire, like a wire coathanger-type wire, and fish it through the column from the bottom. When it exits the top, tape the fish line wire to the horn wire, butting the ends together. Carefuly pull the fishline wire back through the column tube and un-tape the fish line from the horn wire. Plug it into the appropriate harness connection (my understanding is that it goes to ground), and you are done with that task.
