Grant, you may find this post / thread helpful in answering your question:

Also, I haven't tried it myself yet, but Howard was able to solve a wiper parking issue by putting a diode in the power line between the two motors:

Thanks Maury. I guess I am confused as I need to decide whether to clean, keep and rewire the push pull switch or move to the new rotating rocker switch I have. 49654A6C-DFD3-4460-87AA-E924F62987C2.jpeg

The original switch was a single-speed rotary type made by Cole-Hersee, so the rotary switch would be the better one to go with if you're wanting to stay with a more original look (especially since you already have the knob). It looks like your motors are the single speed variety, so you'd have to experiment with how to connect that two-speed rotary switch.

Did you try to find one of the single-speed rotary switches with the bullet connectors?

I bought the rotary switch shown above from Gary Pounds (thanks to your link!) about six months ago. I'm not quite sure what to do with the wires that come from the motors in terms of where they go on the switch - as you said I guess I will need to experiment.

There are four wires coming down from the motor harness: two red/white, blue, and brown. 119BD207-D928-48FB-80B4-971B09305034.jpeg

And I am using a Painless wiring harness (#10105) that has #705 to Wiper Switch B+ with a 15A fuse.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe Uncle Vin on this forum hooked the original single-speed motors on his '67 to the same two-speed switch you have. You might PM him and ask if he could show you how he connected his switch.

Come to think of it, he may have used this two-speed switch which has the bullet connectors, but it might still help to touch base with him as to how it's connected:

Gary sent me this pic, showing the wiring of the back of the switch he sells as wired up on a DJ5:

If you (or Gary) know what each color of wire coming from the switch connects to, you'll be in business!

The two red/white are switched power to each of the two motors; the brown is the "park" power wire which goes to one motor and then the other, so that they are linked together. That wire should always be hot. The blue wire is a ground. Since you have the wrong switch for a single-speed setup, you should abandon the second speed portion of the switch. Take an OHM meter and probe the different connections while turning the knob of the switch once for each full set of probes. I don't have a close-up photo of the back of mine with the wires installed, or I'd post it,
