About what I thought. There is a CJ2A and a 3B near me I thought about picking up, but they are close to being scrap. If the winch was worth anything it might factor into what I was going to offer.

 

I agree, homemade. Not really worth anything but to use if functional

 

I see a tag on it.

I was going to guess homemade as well, but I agree with oldtime that there looks to be a tag of some sort attached to the front passenger side of the winch.

 

I swear we saw one like this roll through the Craigslist section a few months ago. I can’t remember what the general consensus was.

It's probably adapted from something similar either by an individual or a company.

 

I agree we would love to see a closeup pic of that data tag on the passenger side drum support, doesn't look like anything in the RKI (koenig king) line. measure the drum width, height, several more pics could be helpful too.

 

Think I'm going to pass on these. Not much value over scrap and they would be a PIA to get too and drag to the road. So I guess the winch will remain a mystery.
