Sgi - Tailgate

    I have used a couple of MD Juan reproduction tailgates in the past, and while the overall quality was fine I had to grind the hinge pins quite a bit to make them fit original hinges.

    I just received a tailgate from Debella that is SGI brand, and wanted to mention that it fits the original hinges just fine.

    Otherwise both brands are good quality parts, I just like finding something that fits what it is supposed to fit without needing any modification.

    In fairness I should also mention that the two MDJ tailgates I have used were older production, and I do not know if the current production has the same issue.

    I saw that SGI on DeBella's website. It will be interesting to see how the rest of their line fits. Looks like no CJ5 yet.

    The CJ2A tailgate from SGI will fit a ECJ5, but it has the "WILLYS" logo instead of a blank panel if that is important to you.
