Aftermarket Fog Lights

I just added a nice set of LED headlights to my 77' but cant find any aftermarket fog lights. Any ideas on the 4" fog lights in the grill upgrade? I know I can get lens covers from Quadratec but wanted something a little more flashy, I guess. Ideas?

What do you mean, in the grille? The running lights are in the grille. You can't replace them with fog lights without substituting another running light and turn indicator. There is no fog-lights-in-the-grille upgrade AFAIK.

If you want actual fog lights, they should be mounted as low as possible. This reduces the light reflected by the fog back at you, and puts as much light on the road as possible. "In the grille" will be less effective than under the bumper. Also fog lights are a broad, short beam, meant to illuminate the road immediately in front of you when driving at low speed. If you want to drive at highway speed, you want driving lights, and they can be mounted higher. They will be blinding to the driver in thick fog. I don't know who the modern suppliers are, but Hella is still around and a popular choice. As is Cibié (see-bee-ay) though less available in the USA.

If they're in the grille and about 4" diameter, those are the parking lights (also turn signals).

Have you thought of just adding one of many available types of LED bulbs to the lights? That's a 1157 filament bulb, so just look for the equivalent in LED.

 

Back in the day, folks would install the round Per Lux fog lights in the grille below the factory lamps.
I have seen several like that in my area.
Keep in mind, we don't seem to get that much fog around here anymore like we used to.
