I have a postal steering column. I've had it out for 4 years or more. I can't remember how the bracket mounts to the firewall. The existing holes don't line up to the 4 corners. Could someone please post a picture? Thanks.

Neither of the postal columns I have came with that bracket, I had to make my own.

No one uses the same bracket? I'm almost positive it came out of a Postal when I grabbed the column.

Pretty sure thats a home made column bracket. Its too heavy (overkill) for a factory part serving that purpose.

Interesting. My memory isn't that good but for some reason I thought I scavenged the parts from a retired postal Jeep that hadn't been molested yet. The again, it could be a part that I acquired somewhere else. I'm thinking about cutting the plate some so it well fit better. The bend in the firewall plate just above the hole the column goes through prevents it from being installed in a squared position.

Don that bracket actually looks like the ones I made when I first did the postal column. I made about 4 of them and sold them. It should have had a band clamp around it that used a 3/16” Allen key to draw it up. Mine is still on the bottom of my postal column.
