    Hello,
Somehow I ended up with two Donaldson oil bath air cleaners off early 60s F heads. I was contemplating converting one to house a paper filter element. I'm not trying to turn this into a debate of the merits of each type. Rather I'm wondering if anyone has recently found a good method for doing so. I currently have a paper element housing off of a modern vehicle installed and was hoping to get something more correct looking.
There are many things written on MB filter conversion but nothing solid i can find on the later models. I'm aware this would require cutting the original filter.

I thought about the same thing Ken, but decided to just use the oil Bath as it was. I have a Willys oil bath Horn with a Dirt bike filter welded on it and a K and N filter in it, that works pretty good, but wanted to used the factory air cleaner for the

There are pages about it I havnt done it myself or want to but I recall the use of a rubber toilet bowl ring and to paint the inside or the untreated steel will rust up quick
