    That's awesome.

This Jeep needs a lot of work to just get it functional. It's really a pile of mismatched parts at the moment. The DJ5 frame has no motor mounts or steering and the M38 body is halfway through getting the floorboards replaced. It's really a pile of many years worth of Jeep parts. After I get the '71 where I want it, I'm hoping I have the motivation to dive into this thing again. I've been working on it off and on (mostly off) for 20 years.

It's in the air over here too. I have a 43MB sitting in the barn that has not been driven since 1985. I did start it up and ran the engine for 30 minutes about 10 years ago. Been looking at it every time I pass for a month or so. Maybe just maybe:sneak:.

DSC08500.JPG Well, it has taken me about 6 months to Get to my first trial drive with this build.... I had to wait for over a month to get the new brake system done and all the air bled out of the new master cylinder, all new steel lines and flex lines and wheel cylinders...... so today I took 'Her'..... 'Grandma'...... on her first road trip around the ranch.......... She steers steady, shifts smoothly, the 4X4 works as it should....... and the engine runs smooth and starts easily.............the suspension is real nice on the rough, boulder strewn creek bed..... and all the lights work.... brakes work well..... Now ready to register 'Her' as a 1928 Chevrolet Capital truck (have title & vin plate for that) I hope the public enjoys seeing Her on the road, as much as I do....... It was a pleasure to build it and will be fun to use it...... Enjoy DSC08503.JPG DSC08498.JPG DSC08501.JPG DSC08502.JPG DSC08499.JPG DSC08506.JPG DSC08504.JPG DSC08507.JPG

I finally took the Yj for a little drive yesterday, omg, it drives like a new jeep, crazy quite, I can hear the radio, My little Hellcat is awesome too~ nice sounding exhaust, great acceleration~ 2nd gear will put you back in the seat! I would like to eventually put a winch on the '68, something which looks good, but not expensive but looks good~
I was looking at a little utility trailer yesterday, something small so I can actually go get "stuff" in one or the other jeep~ alas, it was sold:(
