The rims are finally back. I want to take it on the road but it's covered with salt so around here it stays...

Thanks for all the nice replies! I am pretty happy with it. I have to get around to the power steering next. You would think with the pizza cutters it would be easier steering but nothing is comparable to floaty, nice GM power steering!

Really nice. And I agree there is nothing nicer than the 1 finger steering in the rocks.

The dog dishes look great! I really like the tires/rims/caps. You are really making me regret spending tons of money on 33/12.50's.

Possible dumb question re: your wheels...Were they stamped 15x6, or did they actually measure 6" inside the bead mounting surfaces? I just did an impulse buy of 5, 15x6 (stamped) unknown pedigree, steel wheels, but they are more like 5 1/2" on the inside edges.

I think it looks great with the skinnys , steel wheels with caps. I'm putting black wagons on mine with 33/1050-15 KM3's. I kinda like them narrow. I have steel wheels on my scrambler, but savi g those for my 46. Whish I had another set of 16 inch steel wheels.

It's been in the woods and they work as well as I figured. I can't wait to drive it again but the darn salt is everywhere. I hate it. Where are all the environmentalists who should be protesting filling our roadsides and waterways with salt? Nooo, they need to be on the roads to get to Starbucks so they have no problem with salt. I would gladly go back to the times of, get snow, shut down till it's over, plow once, no salt, just sand or cinders.

X2 they never used to salt here out West, jut sand. For some dumb reason in the last 10 years they've started to put down ice-melt all the time.

Well, after using the Swampers for another 3000 or so miles, I have to admit, I am a bit disappointed, or old. They have gotten considerably noisier (I know, they're Swampers, what did I expect?) and I can start to see the wear. They are chopping as well. I have rotated them twice. The BFGs did not show any chopping, and my alignment is good. I may put the BFGs back on for the summer and rethink my tire choice. Also, the 34s seem to take quite a bit of power away. Oh well, ho hum.

Its a bias tire...made for mostly for off-road. My brand new 36" tsl bias are real noisy on the road....even more at 8 psi :p

That's why now i have a road set and my swamper set of tire. And when i put the swamper i only take the road on the trailer.

Ok, I am officially old. The BFGs are back on for camper duty and I drove it, enjoying the quietude and just hearing the fan noise above my quiet single exhaust and dead silent engine.

Love your jeep! Glad to hear you're enjoying it!

Edit: when you get TOO old to even enjoy the Jeep with street tires, you just come find me and I'd be happy to take it off your hands :)
