    You learn to stack rocks and use logs as levers to get traction with as well... especially out in some of the beaver pond bogs where there is NOTHING to winch too. Learned that lesson multiple times, when I wasn't with another rig - which was another lesson - but then I was a kid too :p

    All my early wheeling in the late 50's-early 60's was a lesson in rock stacking. And I distinctly remember spending a whole day freeing the FC 150 from a swamp (wasn't frozen quite as advertised). We used a couple of 15' lodgepoles and got about 2" each lift. Sort of put a dent in the elk hunting. Young and dumb. Wait-----------
