It's a brand new vehicle. Why shouldn't it go 1300 miles before exploding? Just because it doesn't have modern safety ratings means nothing..

I was curious what the "small transfer case incident" that was mentioned was about....

While it was not nearly as far as ITLKSEZ's trip.... my wife and I did nearly 900 miles in my Jeep for our honeymoon. We didn't need a brand new gladiator following us just in case we broke down.....
I admire this guys willingness to video blog his adventure, I don't have the patience for that.... and I don't want to bore you guys that much.....

Sounds like it was overfull and the highway speeds caused it to puke some oil out.

This Roxor Jeep has been heavily transformed into a standard car. I don't see a miracle.
The Jeep on my "avatar" was used to go to South of France, nearly 900 km, non-stop travel with my friend, in summer.
And then back in November, freeze, 2 days... It was so cold inside that we could not go fast... One stop at half travel.
And I brought back my Jeep from the PO place, was in the Alps mountains.
Non-stop to my place, with some adventures.
Approx 700 km, leaving at 12, arriving next day 3 in the morning, exhausted.
My son followed with the Audi but all went well, or nearly.
As said, at my first stop in gas-station, I filled and filled until I saw my feet in ... gas, tank cap where the gauge was in was not well fixed...
    Nobody smoked around, by chance.

I once bought a '66 Rambler off eBay, flew from MI to FL, picked up some tools, and drove it 1400 miles home.

My wife and i drove clear across the US in a U-haul box van. :)

We flew back east to meet family and collect some inheritance furniture items for my MIL. Cruised all the way from Tennessee back to California along route 66. I still remember re-falling in love with my bride during that trip.

68 hours. It wasn’t bad from ID to around Minneapolis. Only a few people on the bus. From Chicago to NYC it was packed, and the lady diagonally across the isle from me was yelling in Spanish non-stop and kept blowing her nose in her bare hand. o_O
Then my luggage was put on another bus in NYC. Fun times.

Closest we did was Amtrak from San Antonio to San Diego (33 hrs). Wasn't bad. But wouldn't rush to do it again.
