Are the yj type springs radically different from the stock cj7 springs? Will the ome springs erase the feel of what a cj should be?

What year Jeep and model? I installed OME 2-1/2" YJ springs on my 75. While it did ride better it still isn't like a coil over.

The rear are the same if I recall, 2.5" wide and similar length. The fronts are 2" on cj7 vs 2.5" YJ. I would guess in terms of daily driving it would ride better but wouldn't be startlingly different. They're still short wheelbase rigs and will drive like it.

I believe a wider spring will have less body roll at the same rate, or can have a softer rate with the same body roll (same trade off). I would not imagine there would be a huge difference in ride quality. I'd look if these vehicles came with a factory anti-roll bar. I suspect the YJ did, maybe the later CJ-7 did too. If so, I would expect a higher arch and lower rate giving a softer ride, with the bar mitigating roll somewhat.

Actually mine has a bit more. It's looser so it seems.
