Thank you Roy. I have talked to Mike and several others already.
***It has been extremely frustrating so far as the guys on here that have owned their jeeps since new, either cant remember these details from 50 years ago now or over the years, things have been replaced, repaired or repainted.***

I have talked to a guy that owns over 30 Jeeps with most of them unmolested. The problem arises after 50 years there is no telling what has been done in regards to repairs, replacements, swapping etc. I posted a thread in the restoration page of what the CJ2A guys had done, which is they compiled a list of all the visible parts and their associated colors etc. No one on here has responded as of yet.

I would love to find a resource/s in order to compile a list for us CJ5 enthusiasts.

My 58 trans and transfer are cast, no paint not sure what year chart you are looking for. I have only seen charts for body colors.

I have an unrestored '66 with 35k miles. The shocks were black. The t-86 and d-18 are unpainted. Drums - cant tell.

While I was under there... Skidplate: looks unpainted. And, the steering box is orange (never noticed it under a layer of grease and dirt). Also the '66 Dauntless cooling fan was a green tinted off white.

The plastic over the wiring harness is not original - I put it on there because of chafe.
