Says US made. They were $35/each plus shipping. Maybe I’m just out of touch and they’re a decent price?

    No, I don't think that's too much.

70 bucks for flush mount lights that will never have to have bulbs replaced (barring an accident of course) dont seem bad to me.

$40 to replace a whole light instead of a cheap bulb when one little LED fails - is how I see it.

I should’ve bought a spare. As long as you have a spare, you’ll never need it. :schooled:

    Paint is down and drying.

    So here’s what I did.

I added a strap of 1/8” x 3/4” around the top of the tubing,

and I cut a strip of 3/16” x 1/2” and bent it to match the radius of the top bumper mounts.

Bumper is back on, winch and fairlead are mounted...

...and I decided to use the space in between the winch and frame as a hose storage space. I welded a 1/4” NPT cap onto the xmember and threaded a male air fitting into it as a parking spot for the hose disconnect. That hose can reach all four tires. It’s not the most attractive solution, but it beats digging the air hose out of storage every time you want to use it.

The sound deadening insulation is on and the tub is back in place!

I tested the clutch, but no, I didn’t fully test it yet because... it didn’t have oil. :)

Yeah you did, I just didn’t do anything more than mount it and sling a belt around it. (y)

I got the cage in with minimal damage. :bananatool:
A few of the cage bolts were a serious pain to get lined up though.

Seat belts are in, brakes and clutch are hooked up again, and the rear (center) floor panel is in.

I had one issue that made me angry and killed some time. The hole I cut in the firewall for the distributor was purposefully a bit short as not to go up into the curve near the cowl. I forgot/didn’t realize when I made the doghouse that the plug wires go above the hole on the inside.

My box didn’t fit. I hadn’t tried it with the plug wires attached until now. So I had to make a little bump in the top to accept them. It will never be seen, so spray bomb is good enough.

I think I might get this operational again before I start the wiring. I don’t want to have a no-start situation and wonder if it’s something in the new or old wiring.

It took some pyrotechnics to get the tires seated on the rims. I was going to film it, but I didn’t want witness to my pooing my pants. It doesn’t matter how many times you do that, it makes you jump every time.

Should be ready to test drive tomorrow.

I’ve seated hundreds of race tires with starting fluid. I sit the wheel on a bucket of water, spray them and lite em. First time i ever did it I just sat it on the ground. That one scared me when it bounced over my head.
