Man, Eye Candy for sure. Those are some great looking Jeeps along with some great scenery.

I posted this in the Colorado Epic thread, but I like the picture so much I'm posting it here too.

My '69 Dauntless on the left, Buildflycrash's 66 Dauntless in the middle and SoCalNickG's Renegade 1 on the right. Up near the top of Imogene Pass:

I like this picture too! :bananatool: I could see me taking a jeep to a place like this, some of the youtube videos show incredibly difficult trails with boulders, thick nasty mud. I don't really want to "test" my jeep, I just want to enjoy the outdoors;)

I was digging though pictures to sell the Mustang and I found these 2009 pictures of my "CJ-2a" mocked up:

DJ frame. M-38 tub. I think the only thing original to the Title in the pictures is the hood. That and the transfer case are all that's left.

It's in worse shape now. The 5/8" bondo coat is melted off, the driver's side quarter panel is removed and the floor is only half replaced. I since lost interest and moved twice. Hard to say if this thing will ever run again now that I have other Jeeps that run.

There is something bad*ss about a burly flat fender though.......

Yep, a 1972 tii. Now sold. Some of the money went to buy the '69 CJ5.

It was a really fun car. I had it pretty nice, and then it got rear-ended and started to go bad from sitting too long. It became a much bigger project than I wanted to deal with so it went on Bring a Trailer: No Reserve: 1972 BMW 2002tii Project

Got $8400 for in that condition. The new owners have restored 2002s before and were thrilled to get their hands on a tii.

If you sell the Mustang, you'll have plenty of cash to finish the flatty!

I built my Jeep in 2009 and off and on through the years it has proven to be a great off-roader. It's changed a bit, I added '69 running gear a couple years back mainly to get flanged axle and decent brakes, better cooling and fuel upgrades to prevent vapor locking. My Jeep still turns heads today as much as it did in 2009. If you look close the sides are adorned with Michigan Pin-striping, rock dings and trail wear and tear. I recently took it on a trip with my fellow side by side buddies, it met all challenges and kept up even though it is 56 years old. I wonder if the side by sides will be as useable or desirable in 56 years, something tells me not.

Roy - I love that FF - as others have said, that stance is 'right'. According to your signature, there isn't much left of the 2a, but it looks like it would be a well thought-out, well chosen build....how easily does the DJ frame fit into the picture?
