Serial is hard to read but looks like: 176454

Just got it home. Overall it’s surprisingly together. Standard crust/holes on the tub down where it meets the fenders.

M38 top and windshield. Very cool top in surprisingly good shape.

HyLo pump, plow, and full pto setup

Engine TBD. Trans and tcase shift cleanly.

Wow the toolbox floor is in tact. This might be a restore candidate.

I just had another 2A fall into my lap. This one is a 46. Not as nice. I'll get pics of it later or tomorrow.

I guess I need a bigger lap. :D No really, good deal for you. Liking the first one so far. Put up some pics of the second one when you get a chance. Interested to see the direction you go with this stuff.

I think the old man would want a LHead, so it'll go that route. I got three to source to make one good one and now two 2A drivetrains.

    46's findings so far:

    Motor is not stuck
    Trans and tcase shift ok
Body tub looks better than it is
Windshield frame might be repairable but has broken glass
Has 5 nifty really skinny 16" wheels
Bubba bumpers, coil helpers, and I think fake fur gun racking have to go
    Tailgate is strangely nice
A TX buddy of mine gets the horns

All in all, not the worst parts mule.

Yeah, I'll get that all cleaned up in front and see what all works. I have a old vintage Warn winch as well. I still need to test both.

My CJ came with the Bellevue winch. Plenty strong but the brake system needs work. Herm has parts.

The Bellevue is for the trailer. I put a 8274 on the CJ. It sounds like a good option for the M38.

Thanks I didn't know there was a conversion available.

There isn't a conversion "kit" available but rather a conversion I did earlier with info from Duffer.
