Had some time over the last few days (I wonder why) and worked on the radiator shroud. It's not perfect but at least no big holes. Fiberglassed the inside and smoothed the outside with filler. It is a fiberglass shell.

The snowmobuggy is done and works great. Yesterday I worked on this antique wood rc boat got new electrics put in. I ended up using a cordless drill trigger for the speed control. Its a bit hack but it works

Im making a model of Tic Tok from return to oz. Always wanted one but nobody seems to make one. Its quite difficult! Having to really think about what I can use for different pieces but its looking awesome. Mostly metal but a few pieces of plastic and wood. using jb weld super glue welding and hot glue. I just have the arms and mustache to do then figure out how to go about painting it. Iv got brass colored paint i think im going to rub it off on the belly that already has the brass parts. Might have to watch a few videos on how to do a patina paint job

I spent some time on the Cub this week. There was a loose terminal on the starter-generator so I cracked the case. Tightened up the terminal and noticed the brushes were near the end of their life cycle. Ordered and installed those. Then reassembled with new belt, hoses and andyfreeze. New tires and wheel bearings on the front. After my grandkids drive it around next weekend ill move on to the rest of the yellow.

and all this started because the voltage regulator failed.

Just finished this setup for a friend of mine and delivered it to him... he gave me a budget and told me to build him a rig so he can take his son camping. That was all the instruction I had, and 1 month later I delivered this.

    '79 Wagoneer
    360 (fuel injected now)
    Raptor-coated inside and out
    Lifted with 31" tires
Ditched the Q-trac so it now runs normal locking hubs
Every light (including dash) is LED
Custom canvas tent for rear door
    House battery with solar charger
    1200W inverter
    Hard-wired Ryobi 18v charger
    Onboard air
    Air lockers front and rear
Tried to hide every bit of modern modification I could.

...and I had some money left over in the budget when I was done, so I bought him a boat to go with it and fixed that one up as well.

I honestly don't have any... it really wasn't fun to make, so my excitement about documenting it wasn't there. I'll have to get some when we meet up on a camping trip.

Didn't miss anything, there wasn't a build thread on it. Contrary to my usual builds, I was just doing that one for a friend and didn't really document anything.

Reckoned it was Time to change out the right side universals & hub on my 2001 Cherokee Sport. It's been ours since new , only 176 K miles on her. I use it as my Service truck.
Any way, I'm sure glad for my cutting torch. I think the roller bearings became dust around the year 2016, shortly after I did the driver's side ? There were zero bearings in either of the side cups, just rust . Funny thing is..... It didn't make that much noise & the 4 WD worked OK last winter? Well......... wonder what the life expectancy for factory sealed U - joints are ?

I made a new saw mount for my bike. The old one was a prototype that had gone through 4 different configurations and ended up functional but too close to my butt, the ratchet strap was a pain to work 100 times per ride, and my bigger saw didn’t fit in it. This one uses a toggle clamp. I still need to get a scabbard to attach to it.

    I just got that. :rolleyes::)

I added mount points for the shovel, I sewed a grab-strap (made from a HF ratchet strap), mounted a scabbard, and I painted it.
    Finis!

Seems like that saw would be heavy enough to be noticeable when riding, especially being just a bit off the center line?
