Mounting After Market Seats

    Has anyone mounted after market seat Rugged Ridge or other brand seats in or on early CJ5 frames with the built in tubing back frame? Mine are in a 1961 CJ5.

    Those frames are rare & worth about $400, don't chop them up. It doesn't work well anyhow.

    After taking upholstery off, my seat frame was rusted through in many places and broken in two places. Not restoreable. Can a later model CJ5 seat frame fit an early CJ5?

    I would thinks so - the tubs are the same. They are not plentiful either. '71 or earlier only.
