Hose And Nipple Help

Hey all,

not my engine pic but need th small hose that goes from water pump to intake and the nipple that it attaches to in the intake as move is missing.

62/63 198 V6. Can find a reference to it online anywhere so maybe just need to go to Napa and have them find generic fit. Ideas?

Oh, that’s just 5/8” heater hose available at any auto parts place by the foot.

 

Thanks! Also trying to get that connector on the manifold as well. Any idea on size/thread? That pic is not my motor. Trying to complete.

 

Where do your heater hoses hook up to? On a Dauntless, that's where they go...

Yep. Suggest you get a piece of high-quality hose like Gates Green Stripe (trucks & buses) or lacking that Gates Firewall for that hose. The generic heater hose they sell at the McParts stores is terrible.

You can buy the hose nipple from Dorman. Dorman Products - Search Results Any parts store can get Dorman stuff easily.

 

So i got what i needed, but having a hard time making a 90 turn on the hose without it pinching. Is there a 90 degree fitting?

 

These are probably to short for the 225 but look for something similar for other engines. The stock Buick hose is sort of "S" shaped.

actually addendum is that I had to go with the 3/4 version to fit the water pump nipple.

 

i tried that but turned out it’s 3/4 on the water pump so I had to go with the 3/4 hose x 1/2 NPT and this hose with 90 degree bend in it.
