    Hello everybody,

I picked up a nice rear seat dirt cheap for my cj5, but it’s tan, not black. I’ve been looking for a cheap seat cover and can’t find anything. I have seen the actual covers to reupholster it, but don’t really want to do that. Anybody know of anything or alternatives let me know. Thanks!

Yeah, I may end up making one. I was surprised there was nothing out there.

The key is clean. Wash it with soap and water followed by a prep solvent if it has no oil or armor all on it the arm dye works well I used to spray dashes and rugs with Sem as well.

So a week or so ago I tried the VHT Vinyl Dye and it worked great....my seat is no longer tan and matches the rest of my rig! Thanks for the suggestion! Made a little video because I was bored...lol...anything for social distancing.

In the Olden Days, we would paint our headliners with that to make them Black, you could not tell if they were painted. It held up great.
